I found myself looking at a card that was handmade by Hector Calderon after we facilitated for two days in New York City. While the entire card which is handcrafted with magnificent attention to detail and radiates a spirit of kindness and mutuality, The image in the center of it is a cut out of a design that he made and allowed me to use on a digital EP called “Once Again.” That digital asset included five songs that I provided to supporters when I found out that there was another delay in the pressing and shipping of the #FirstSunday vinyl records that they pre-ordered. “First Sunday” was created well before “Once Again.” But “Once Again” was available first.

First Sunday is a movement record. It’s a call to movement-minded people to get up and get involved after taking time to rest. “Once Again” alternately is an accumulation of songs that I made about living in America in 2025 amongst the foolishness and wickedness that has been authorized from the highest office in our land. Hector’s art was divinely felt as it had an eerie, beautiful, ancient and hopeful vibe to it. It captured all of the feelings I felt when crafting the songs on “Once Again.” Both hope and beauty. Those things were present in every song. Both Erie and ethereal. That was present in every song. “Once Again” is digital and it paints a picture of where we are in 2025 and 2026. Songs like “Dark Sky” make it evident that there’s a lot that we need to navigate. “One Night” talks about the power of a dream that leads to forward momentum. “Who I Be” is a moment to reflect on authenticity that comes from leading and being an artist at the same time.

Less than one month into 2026 Hector and I spent two days with a group of folks on the east coast helping them implement a strategy to make their work more targeted and effective. Hector brought the energy. He taught us that there’s a 3 foot field that surrounds us that gives off energy to others. It allows others to engage with what we put out into the world. As he broke down the science, I remembered how creating a vinyl record creates vibrations. The sound that is generated comes from the needle, vibrating between the grooves of the record. Each groove has a certain size. bass sounds require a wider groove. String sounds require a thinner groove. The needle moves quickly between the grooves generating the sounds that we hear. So we might literally pick up “good vibrations” from the music as we ride the “groove.” So when creating music for a vinyl record, the energy that goes “into it” might then vibrate “out of it”thereby extending our energetic field.

“The movement is necessary right now. My hope is that there are folks who listen to First Sunday on the vinyl record and extend the inspired energy needed in this movement. Thank you for being a part of the movement. Thank you, Hector for your art and your divine brotherhood. Thank you for your kindness and your words. And my thanks to everyone who is listening to First Sunday and allowing those vibrations to extend our collective energy field. Download Once Again Here
